ABOUT EIGHTH DAY MINISTRIES
As many of us know, the number eight is indicative of new beginnings, and this is the basis on which Eighth Day Ministries was formed.
Throughout scripture we find numerous accounts of events taking place on the "eighth day". One in particular is found in Luke 2:21. Here, on the eighth day, we read about the circumcision of Jesus, which was symbolic of doing away with the old to introduce the new. In old testament scripture circumcision was performed as an outward sign that represented covenant with the true and living God. But in new testament scripture we understand it to be an inward sign of our commitment to God, which now we understand it to be a matter of the heart.
With that in mind, we must understand that we are now living in the eighth day dispensation. In this dispensation we understand that it is not our works that bring us into fellowship with God, but it is through the blood of Jesus that we can experience that intimate relationship with Him. No more bulls and goats, just the blood of Jesus. And it is through his blood that we are transformed into a new man.
So, today my sister - my brother is your eighth day. It is the day of your new covenant beginning with God. Old things have passed away, behold all things have become new. Embrace all that God has for you and walk in the newness of life in Christ Jesus.
